LaunchMon

Privacy

Draft for the first release. Updated September 16, 2026.

LaunchMon inventories local launchd configuration and runtime state. It does not upload that inventory, command arguments, log files, or copied summaries. There is no telemetry, advertising SDK, or analytics account.

Network requests

The app uses Polar for license activation, validation, and deactivation. These requests include your license key and activation identifier; activation uses your Mac’s name as a readable device label. Sparkle checks the GitHub appcast and downloads updates from GitHub. Those providers receive ordinary connection metadata such as your IP address.

Local storage

The trial start date, key, activation, and validation date are stored in the macOS Keychain. Removing the app does not reset the trial. Service controls are local launchctl operations. The optional helper authenticates the app’s code signature.

Purchases and support

Checkout is handled by Polar, the planned merchant of record. If you email support, your message and anything you choose to attach are used to respond. Avoid sending unredacted logs or credentials.
